Full Version: Install Leopard in Apple TV, is legal or not ?

If oficially Install Leopard on Apple TV is not supported by Apple and the Apple TV is Apple hardware then is legal make it ?

From reading various posts about Apple's EULA (End-User License Agreement), they mention installing Apple software on Apple-branded products (obviously not generic PC's). For the AppleTV, this is an Apple-branded product (although Leopard is not supported on AppleTV). Look at paragraph 2 (a).

Very much off topic here, but 2a also contains the clause:

"...you may not make the Apple Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices or multiple computers at the same time."

It is very common for me to install over network. I mount the DMG located on my Hac on my Macbook and open OSinstall.mpkg. More out of convenience than anything else - but the wording here suggests that because it COULD be used by multiple devices and multiple computers, that is breaking the EULA.

Just goes to show really...
