Hi,
I'm new to the hackintosh scene. I built a Retail-System (10.5.7) with the following specs:

Motherboard: Asus P5K-SE (fully working expect to the sleep)
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (fully working)
Wireless LAN: Asus WL-138g v2 (fully working OOB)
Memory: 2x 1GB Kingston 800Mhz DDR2 (fully working)
Graphics: CLUB3D HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 PCIe (doesn't work)
Harddrive: Samsung HD200J 200GB SATA (fully working)
DVD Drive: LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH20NS15 (fully working)

I tried a lot methods to get the HD 3850 working (Natit, EFI Studio Extended with EFI String MEGADOLON and/or TRIAKIS, OSX86Tools), but nothing was working.
I wanted to download the file(s) from irc.osx86.hu #radeonhd, but I can't open this site?!
When I boot an odd screen comes up (screenshot at the end)

I can only boot in safe mode (-x)

Please help me!!!

I do not have a solution, as I experience exactly the same problem with my Sapphire HD3850.
So I also am looking for assstance to solve this problem.

For all bugfixing (using EFI string ) be sure to have really orig. AppleATI drivers installed !
So boot in OS X safe mode (-x) and reapply latest (fitting to your OS X version) ATI* Apple OS X Combo Update with pacifist (all ATI*.kext selected in pacifist for install, NOTHING else!).

After that repair permissions.
Thats the first step of bugfixing.

Now check again, for EFI string usage, if you have any gpu injector kect installed.
remove them (natit.kext).

Remove extensions.mkext (will be rebuild automatic).

Now again use EFI STUDIO Extended (3850 Triakis FB or 38xx Megadolon FB) for generating your gpu efi string. At least 10.5.6 is needed if using Megadolon FB.
Normally it is best (for 38xx) to9 use megadolon framebuffer, not the triakis.
If that not work, (next normal boot) try triakis.

If that all not work, perhaps you got an 38xx card with underclocked VRAM (cheaper cards).

Does sleep work using only efi strings ?
I have a saphire hd3850 and when I wake up my PC the resolution is bad, it's like I have 1/4 of the screen !

My install is a 10.5.7 retail and I have an efi string set to megalodon

Boot with "-x", download driver for mac in http://osx86.radeonhd.eu/ and install and reboot. It´s done!!!!
