I have a Marvell Yukon 88e8053 NIC. I am using Leopard 10.5.6 Newest version.

Boots fine, but I have no internet. I go to System preferences and Network..Ethernet wont show up!

Is there an alternate .kext I need for my internet to work? If so please link it! and tell me what to do from there please!

The Yukon 53 should be supported out of the box, I believe. I had a similar issue when I was setting up an Asus P5E motherboard, (which has the 56, not the 53), and a quick workaround I found was to enable LAN Check in the BIOS. I forget what the exact option is named, but it basically tells the motherboard to check for an active LAN cable when booting. It's usually on the last page of the BIOS settings. (This is different from the LAN Boot option, which you don't want to use.)

Anyway, when I enabled that option my ethernet would come up just fine. Weird, possibly circumstantial, but it may be helpful to you.

hallo i am using iaktos i5 with mb P5K-WS and Lan Marvell 88E8052 / 88E8056 dual Gigabyte Lan Controllers
but the network does not work. it says there is no cable connected. please help!
