I got a Dell XPS M1330 and i've been trying to install iatkos v5i on it and it just wont work...
what would work best on this laptop?

I'm currently thinking about iatkos v1 but if you guys tell me that there is another better version that would work then i'll do that instead....
been thinking about doing this for a while now and finally did it and it didnt work...

or even if you guys have a walkthrough for the iatkos v5i for me just let me know..thanks

What happens when you install it?
Check out this thread - it's the ultimate guide for Dell laptops by Macgirl. She recommends iAtkos, so I don't know what gives..

But try some other distribution, if you want, I can recommend iPC, XXX and iDeneb.

it installs but after it reboots...it states missing operating system

I already have vista on there...but it wont even let me boot up with vista either

EDIT::: I just fixed the vista thing..I had to flag it and put boot on it...now I'm going to retry doing the iatkos v1 install again

To solve problems like that, search with google and type site:insanelymac.com, like this:

I think you may need to set the Mac OS X partition as active.

If you have vista booting, try running EasyBCD and setting up the OS X partition

I got it fixed..i installed it but I need audio, videocard and other stuff i dont even know about
