Sorry for the dumb question, I just wanted to make sure of this before I did anything. I am currently running Kalyway 10.5.2 and used the NVinject 512mb installation option. I have an 8800gt 512mb and it just kind of seemed like graphics are just slightly lagish with genie animations, or spaces and stuff like that (havent really even tried anything more intense yet), and the display just doesn't quite look as sharp as I would have expected.

So after reading that people recommend using the EFI strings I installed (or I think i did) the 8800gt 512mb efi string to my installation using the UInstaller from the ga-ep45-ds3l retail guide. I would think that should work as an install method, right? Anyways, I haven't noticed any difference in performance and was just wondering if I need to delete the nvinject kext if I install the EFI string, or maybe its just what I should expect to get our of this distro?

Sorry for the lame question, just thought I would ask.

If you are using EFI strings, you must delete NVinject. If NVinject was not the best *driver* for you, maybe you will get a better performance with EFI Strings. That's all.
