Hi everyone i am new on here and new to mac so bear with me. I am trying to install any version of Tiger on my G4 and for any what reason my DVD drive is NOT reading the discs and i do not understand why. Help if you can. Tanks

You can install it with firewire target mode. If you have a friend with a Mac, and a firewire cable, just insert the DVD into his mac, connect the cable between them, and boot up your Mac while his is on, while holding down T. This will boot your Mac in firewire target mode, so then you can install it onto your Mac, from his.
