Hi,
I recently had to format my iAtkos v.4i and before reinstalling I had my x1950 Pro AGP work perfectly on the machine. after reinstalling I downloaded MTZeon's driver for 7280 and did everything by his instructions but it wont work.
I got into safe mode (-x) and checked the system profiler for graphics... it identified my card and all of the stats are correct. any ideas? anyone? I had a successful install before reinstalling iAtkos v.4i so there has to be a way.
please if anyone can - give specific instructions, step by step.
sorry for any English mistakes, and thanks in advance for all replies.

What's not working if it's identified everything correct? Are you getting QE/CI, res change?

I get res change and I get everything but I can't get it to start - upon loading the screen would just turn skyblue and I can see the mouse but nothing else. while booting in safe mode (-x) I am able to see everything and the system profiler identifies it. I think I need an older driver (MTZeon) because my father managed to make it start once but not anymore, as for I reinstalled it.
~Thanks in advance.

i've got almost the same problem, but with the difference that i can't get in the safemode.
but when i wait 20 or more minutes at the bluescreen, with a second display, i can get into the system with all ci\qe feuteres and res change avaible

Don't know if this will help, but with some nvidia cards that exibit this same problem, if you delete AppleHWSensor.kext, then they boot up OK.

Bumpy Knuckles,
Shame that did not do it, but, if you boot with -v what info is given on your screen when your computer gets stuck?

they were no errormessages shown except display matching fail, but it stucks at the blue screen with mouse.

A couple of things to try - the other DVI output then the second PCIe slot (if you have one) and set bios to boot from that.

i#ll try the second output, but its a agp card, so i can't try another port
edit: second outputport doesn't work,

I'm here.
umm erasing the nVidia kext didn't work for me so I will boot with -v and we'll see what happens.
I will upload the pics as soon as I'll transfer them to my PC.
~Thanks again.

Now it's working, with only 256 mb ram and a bit mouse tearing
i only deleted the natit.kext of my package and installed agpgart271 and used the second monitor output. the resolution i had to change by editing the bootlist

i found another solution,
install mtzeons pack and replace his natit with the one i postet at the big 1950 thread.
no the graphic errors and tearing are gone
