So... I am thinking on actually purchasing one of those iPhoto books. I saw one at a friend's house and they don't seem too bad. A little pricey but very convenient. For those who have done it, what is your take? Are there other book creation options you prefer over Apple's offering?
Regarding iPhoto '08, I find my photos appear very crisp and clear in the selection bar at the top of the screen but when I drag them to a page, they seem much more fuzzy. Tweaking the sharpness to .30 helps. Is this normal because it is technically much larger on the page or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.

I originally was going to use iPhoto to create a book. Instead I went to Shutterfly as it was more flexible to use. I did use iPhoto to organize but used either PSE6 or PSCS2 for editing the images. Actually it was the wife idea as she strated the process in both (iPhoto and Shutterfly) and found Shutterfly more user friendly.
Both will tell when your creating the book if the images will look good. This is where you should be concern in editing the images to realize what the dpi should be. As long as the image is sharp in the begining then you should be aware of the dpi for larger images. I did a 12x12 book where I had a spread (2 pages) 10 x 20 with several layers of images. The bottom layer being the 10 x 20 inch at 300 dpi and the others of varing sizes 'floating' on top.
Take a look athe sample galeries at Shutterfly or any other of that type to get an idea what I am saying.
