gotta tell u something crazy.
First i use a thinkpad t60 with intel 3945 wlan. while it doesnt work i got a pcmcia wlan card. (Siemens gigaset pc card 54)
i used wlan with that card. just for fun i removed it und wanted to see what happens.
crazy thing: nothing happend! wlan still worked!!! i removed cache and everything and it worked. ping to google.com worked!

can you give some more info? did you install anything about(like jalavoui's test things) intel3945 before using that siemens? maybe siemens drivers compatible with the intel 3945 ?
