My graphic memory is 144MB right now, but when i need VGA output, it pops up "your VRAM is not enough for an outer display".

and Apple says: Memory available to Mac OS X may vary depending on graphics needs. Minimum graphics memory usage is 144MB. An additional 16MB is required when using an external display.

how can i get that additional 16MB? add another 1G memory?
