I've got an ipod touch and I'd like to use the mail app to access my gmail account. Things is, other people borrow it now and again and I don't want them to be able to access my mail. Is there any way to password protect it?

not currently. if you have a "jailbroken" touch you can purchase HidePod

if you can wait a month, you won't need to jailbreak your touch (2.0 firmware with App Store).
