blink.gif have you tried unloading and loading? if this fixes the problem then I think there was a workaround to make it automatic... (here) Either of ways, even you should be submitting it to E's power management issue tongue.gif (Shutdown, StandBy, Suspend, EthernetWakeUpEvents are sort of power management related)

Automatic loading and unloading articles are plenty out there even google can help (if that one doesn't work)...

Thanks for the offer of assistance. I was more just reporting the issue rather than trying to fix it. I actually never sleep my computer, heck I don't even turn it off normally smile.gif

When I saw this thread, I was so happy, because I have SB Live! card, that was useless since I started to use OSX on my PC. Yesterday I installed 1.2b1 version of kx drivers, and sound was dead, but after disabling (I renamed AppleHDA.kext) AppleHDA drivers, and one restart everything worked. Finally, I have 5.1 sound biggrin.gif

Thank you guys.

Hi, First of all thank you for this amazing solution =o)

I used KX Driver on my computer it looks working fine(and also thank you for this)

On my first computer i'm using SB Live 5.1 and it works fine.
But on my second computer i'm using SB 5.1 CMSS series.. I didn't see this card in unsupported cards on the list. also it's not on supported cards list.

MODEL: SB0680

KX working for this card?

Thank you.

Hello There, thanks for the driver, it works perfectly on my vintage soundblaster pro,
The only reason for me to use that old stuff is for the midi/game port. I plug my midi keyboard on it.
I don't think this function is supported by the kext. Is there a way for making the soundblaster live midi port available on leopard ?

Hi, what does this mean? (16/24 bit recording not supported) I was planing about to buy a SB card, because input in my CM8738 is NOT IMPLEMENTED. So do you guys have MIC ?

No inputs you could always buy a Griffin iMic or other similar USB dongle to get inputs.

This is great, thank you very much. SB creative LIVE! worked perfectly right after the install I hear the bleep hehe.

I have the issue, that blows my mind...
Not long ago i bought Creative Live! 5.1 based on EMU10K1. The latest driver from E started working after repairing permissions and booting with -f. But yesterday it stopped working, even with -f. I`ve tried unloading/loading kext by terminal, reinstalling, but nothing is working. What can i do?

well fella, for people to help you out you will probably have to provide more information.

when you kexload, do it with a diagnostic flag (-t) and note the outcome here. try deleting the extensions.mkext in System/Library/ (this is basically what the -f flag does at boot)

i dont have your card so its hard for me to help!

Hi,
this didn't work for me. I get s.th. like

14.02.09 13:38:43 kernel kXAudioDevice[0x66eff00]::initHardware(0x6017280)

14.02.09 13:38:43 kernel kXAudioDevice[0x66eff00]::free_all() - iKX interface already closed

I have an Audigy 2 ZS. What can I do? The card isn't detected as Audio device. But Firewir from the card is working.

Answers to most repeated questions are at page1 (first post). Have you checked that page properly? (the bottom area?). I've a feeling iDeneb has something that conflicts with kX (most dudes who used it, reported problems with kX). Mostly when I saw ("iDeneb" + "ALCxx" + "kx") there was always some sort of problem.

I'm NOT sure whether this will help or not but if it does, your luck: (see below)

Hi, I have a soundblaster audigy 2, i've installed the drive but only output works, input doesn't work.

If I use the 5.1 output in midi configuration the test is ok but then in the leopard doesn't work.

Can i have a help please? Do I have to install the soundflower?

is there any word from the sound driver GOD about sleep support?

Hi Guys,
I'm a iDeneb 1.4 user, and everything works fine, except for my Audio.
I got a Asus P5GDC DELUXE mobo with CMI9880 Audio. It's works fine but with no input and no volume control. Now i read about this new SoundBlaster Fix, but didn't works to me. I got a SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 PCI Card (01:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller [0401]: Creative Labs SB Audigy LS [1102:0007]) and doesn't works. So, anyone knows if this card is support? And if it is, how can i make it work?
Thanx.

There is only one way to find out, someone has to pm him (No! I won't do it, i have my own reasons tongue.gif ).

Maybe someone has to bribe E? (best way if you ask me) or send E some windows virus so he can concentrate more on OSX for a while (hehe honestly, I would prefer everyone sending one polite pm dev.gif )... not many fans asking for it probably has something to do with it...

I sent that to eugene and like Oxtie said.... everybody else who wants sleep to work properly should probably do the same. in a polite and proper manner i might add!

EDIT: it might be worth noting that after sleep events with sound, such as growl, do trigger some form of reaction from the sound drivers!

5. iDeneb 10.5.5 conflicts with kX? anyone to confirm this?

No problem with my system iDeneb 10.5.5 and Live! CT4760.
Every thing is Work normally, no sound distortion any more.

If anyone is interested, just did a 1.2b1 installation on 10.5.6 iPC (Audigy 2 ZS, voodoo 9.6 kernel). Works flawlessly (although no input device, but I am not sure - maybe it's supposed to be that way).

My old Audigy 2 zs has been lying in a box for several years, waiting for this moment smile.gif

Thanks for making this possible.

Hi guys!

Sorry for not posting any replies for so long - I was completely uninvolved in kX-related development for the last several months...

I'm not sure about my future plans, but I keep in mind the following features:

* 44.1kHz support for E-DSP cards (yes, I wish to play my CD collection without resampling on my 1212m card smile.gif )
* Vista x64 support - I have the CPU and the OS, and I'm currently working on a different x64 driver, so, I will probably have some time to spend on kX for x64 -- but this will most likely break any compatibility with existing kX plugins... (welcome to 100% 64-bit world...)
* Mac OS X driver: except for the hibernation feature and recording, I have no other plans concerning it, since I'm not using Hackintosh regularly, and my macbookpro comes without a pc-card slot in order to keep working on the drivers for a2zsnotebook... If anybody wishes to work on the KX API for OS X (or a cross-platform API), please drop me a message.

Please note: if you have something urgent to tell me, use e-mail, not the forum or private messages.

Thanks smile.gif

Since no one is doing it (the replying), let me tell you... E has plans for mic (recording stuff in his words) but that may not happen fast (probably someone has to donate 57+ hehe)

when E says hibernation, does me mean sleep? this is the last thing that does not work on my hackintosh, because of these drivers. from reading the console log, and the fact that it can be forced by unloading then loading the driver again, it is so close to working too!!!

I have a sound blaster audigy 2 zs, and 10.5.6 hack.

I have a flicker in the audio and I have no controls in sound prefs like the driver post said i would.

I had the Kx drivers installed that came with the iDeneb 1.4. Now I have the newest release of the kX drivers and the problem is the same.

Any suggestions?

I have a flicker in the audio and I have no controls in sound prefs like the driver post said i would.

I had the Kx drivers installed that came with the iDeneb 1.4. Now I have the newest release of the kX drivers and the problem is the same.

Any suggestions?

TIA!

a flicker? I've Audigy 2 ZS and I don't have it (except when I'm using AU Lab for multichannel activity)... again the most obvious thing that looks suspicious to me here is "iDeneb". Its just that whenever I see them together, something is... odd!

Hello I have installed the KX drivers with an Audigy Platinum EX on iDeneb 10.5.6
Outputs work perfectly, but how I enable inputs?
I opened Logic Pro 8 with a new project, selecting my card, but I found 64 input bus! It's not possible, infact none works.

I await your news.
Thanks again for your work.

PS: Sorry for my English .. Bye..

Hi guys!

Sorry for not posting any replies for so long - I was completely uninvolved in kX-related development for the last several months...

I'm not sure about my future plans, but I keep in mind the following features:  censored2.gif

Please note: if you have something urgent to tell me, use e-mail, not the forum or private messages.  dev.gif

Hi Folks,

I used the 1kXAudioDriver-1.2b1 and I've got system crashes when I player back Flash movies *.swf in Opera.

So I've tryed the old one kXAudioDriver-1.1b0. This one works like a Charm.

Got still one minor problem with it.

Wenn I shutdown Mac OS 10.5.6 Ideneb
the system hangs to a certain point.

I found a soloution I just unload the driver twice like:

toms-macpro31:~ tom$ sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/kXAudioDriver.kext
kextunload: unload kext /System/Library/Extensions/kXAudioDriver.kext failed
toms-macpro31:~ tom$ sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/kXAudioDriver.kext
kextunload: unload kext /System/Library/Extensions/kXAudioDriver.kext succeeded

After doing this  I can finaly shutdown with no problems.

Can anybody help me here. I dont now how to setup Mac OS to do this automatically during shutdown??

Thanxs a lot

Tom

Where are the Mac OS Cracks here in this Forum?

OK I'm a bloddy beginner and dont know the deeper MacOs strukture.
but I finaly found out one solution.

I did make a Apple script like:

on run
try
do shell script "kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/kXAudioDriver.kext" password "123" with administrator privileges
do shell script "kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/kXAudioDriver.kext" password "123" with administrator privileges
end try

When save this as an execute and start this the Driver will unload.

Is ther anybody out there in this forum who can explain how to run this script automatically after hitting shutdown button??
