Yesterday when I rebooted OS X a little alert came up telling me I had an update that needed installing. I was in a hurry and I decided to install it. Appearently, everything went right since it boots ok. The thing is, keyboard shortcuts for Exposé and Spaces are no longer working (Spaces themselves work though, I can switch desktops with the button in the menubar).
I think shortcuts work right after booting, but they stop responding after a while. I'm not sure about this (can't reboot right now to try) and I'm also not sure that it is the update that caused this. Anyway, right now I'm scanning for CPUID's with Maxuss utility. Is this a common problem with a known solution? I looked around the forum and found nothing :S
Thanks!

Well, I applied the patches generated by Maxxuss Patcher and it seems to be working now.

Sorry, it didn't work. After a few hours, shortcuts stop respoding

what was the update for? if you remember its name you can try looking for its receipt and revert the files it has modified (especially those related to Spaces and Exposé)

I will look throught the receipts and see if I can locate it based on its date, since I don't know the update name (I never saw the download dialog, just the installation dialog)

I can't find any recent receipt. Isn't anybody experiencing anything similar? I need help

why don't just go to dashboard and expose preferences and set shortcuts again?

I tried doing that and it didn't work. And it's not only those shortcuts that aren't working, cmd+tab and screen capture (cmd+shift+3/4) don't work either. Thanks anyway!

I think (and hope) I've found the solution: AppleSMSBios.kext. I had recently changed it and now I've downloaded the newest version from netkas.org and shortcuts seem to be working ok (Leo has been running for three hours aprox).
