Apparantly apple is taking action again OS X86 running on a PC. A computer researcher found that apple has placed encrypted binaries on their operating system for core compenents, such as Finder and Dock. eWeek says they are doing to this to prevent their OS from running on "non apple hardware".

The whole story is at eWeek.

QUOTE (eWeek)
This is a method for Apple to protect its code," he said, adding that for people who still want to try to get Mac OS X running on commodity PC hardware, "you can get around it, but not easily.

I beleive it can be cracked, it will just take time.

Why do you think we have had to install SemjaZa's decrypts in previous versions of OSx86? Decrypts are decrypted versions of the encrypted binaries.

This is neither news nor a problem because the encrypted binaries have been regularly decrypted.

Note though, semjaza didn't show up until 10.4.6. We've been using maxxuss' original decrypts for .4.4 & .4.5, and some versions of .4.6..
