luke from reading these forums it looks like there is no help being offered on the subject.. i found 30 threads asking similar questions and they all died with no response

it worked for me and i have got the HDApatcher too but still my sound is weird and whenever i go to the MAC INFO in the Audio built in, i have got only device ID over there and no available device

Didn't work for me.

I had sound working on Kalyway 10.5.2 install, but reinstalled with iDeneb v1.3 (10.5.5) and no longer have sound.

I have tried AppleHDAPatcher, ALCinject & all ALC8xx drivers for my ALC883: No one worked. :/ (iDeneb 10.5.5)

With this pkg i got Output Sound ^^, but the sound (volume) is really weak, does anyone know how to fix this ?

Hi my mobo is Gigabyte GA-945GZM-S2 v3.0 and it has 7.1 channel Realtek HD Audio. I installed ALC883 6port patch on my iDeneb 10.5.5 setup. Instead of having a 5.1 channel I got 3 stereo output lines. They r working fine. How can i make this to 5.1 output.

P.S: Sorry for my English (I hope u guys understand)

Hi from Italy, leopard works on my dell xps 420, seems better kaliway 10.5.2 than ideneb 10.5.5 distributions (solved problem "Still waiting for boot device"), as results Leopard works with 8800 GT and seems realtek net card too, but still audio sigmatel 9227x doeson't work. Here my hardware..

Chipset: intel beachwood x38
Ram: 4 GB DDR2
Bios: Phenix
Video: Nvidia Geforce8800 GT 512 MB
Audio : Sigmatel Stac9227x
wireless card: Broadcom 802.11 g

Conextant Audio working prefectly with this driver, even audio-out minijack. i don't know what with audio-in minijack. i don't have any mic to conect to this port.

Great initiative, however it does not work on my setup.

Dell GX270 w/Soundmax AC'97. It's a 865G motherboard with 8280/ICH5 chips in addition to audio.

Vendor 8086, Device 24D5 I think.

Install is Leopard XxX 10.5.6 Rev.1

It claims "No Audio Device Found" in Audio window + System Profiler

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: Found another kext called AppleAC97Audio, and used kext helper to install (google for it to find it). Note that you have to drag in the unzipped folder structure, not the kext.zip file itself that you should also be able to find somewhere else. As others mention, it is really only a partial solution - it allows stereo output from the mic input(!). Other outputs don't work, and obviously not mic either. That said, for me this is enough.

(Mostly note to self below, or if someone else have similar experience...)
Now the next quest is to get a good graphic solution in place....looks like I'm out of luck on my 865G chipset, after EXTENSIVE searching, so I'll have to look for another card. Since my machine only accepts AGP and I found an installer that supposedly works with ATI 2400Pro AGP cards, that is probably what I'll end up getting.

My sigmatel 9200 still doesn't work, it appears as if there was audio but there isn't.

Soundmax ADI AD1986A working 2-channel. No input, but no need. Installed and booted no problem.

iPC 10.5.6 (PPF5) installation on M2NBPVM-CSM motherboard (nForce 430) and AMD AM2 X2 4800+ processor.

how can I solve?

I have the problem at Asus A8J with select a driver for my audio device:

Under XP I use SounMax driver. But under Mac OSX 10.5.6 i just understand that i must use some Analog Devices driver but its not working.

Is somebody fix the problem like this?

Hi Guys.....New to Mac but a wiz at PC .from what ive read in this topic.....looks like theirs no fix for SigmaTel 9227 .....been reading for the pass weeks for a fix ....no audio...but speaker symbol shows on top as if it is working ....... Please any help?

intel D975BX2
PC6400 800 4gigs RAM
1 sata 500gig OSX 10.5.6 (Upgraded from iATKOS v5i.. Apple updates and it worked )
