Hi. I have your same soundcard Realtek ALC861VD. This card is also called ALC862 and you will find the text files quicker with this name. Search for the last AppleHDAPatcher and the 862 files and it should work on your systems

thanks but i still cant get it to work. heres where i have been looking for files
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=32859i was wondering if you can post up the links for those files you used, and how exactly do i use them.
i have been reading everywhere but i cant get my sound to work. every time i tried i always seem to corrupt OSX some way. i have installed OSX about 6 times now just trying to get my sound working.
-thanks in advanced
also when i downloaded (the latest) AppleHDAPatcherv1.18 it tells me to
"please drag and drop your linux codec dump into the AppleDHA Patcher icon."
first of all what do i drag in? and where do i get it for my integrated sound card
and im guessing its the frog looking icon on the DOCK.
so whe you tried to install this correctly was it easy? i mean how did it start working? did you have to go to "System Prefrences" to get it to work?
so far (from the link above) i have tried these so far to get my sound working...ALL WITH NO LUCK. well maybe its just me, but i am probably doing it wrong if its one of these that you have used to get your integrated sound working. may you please give intructions on how exactly you did it....?
