Download and unzip the file, and then follow the instructions

this is very hard to understand after two hours i am still no closer to getting audio is there any more newbie friendly way around this problem?

After I rebooted it didn't work "out-of-box" but then I just turned the volume up a bit in the sound preferences and now it works like a charm. Love it!

My MB is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 BTW.

GA-P45-DS3R.. no luck it cant overwrite the previous settings (ALC888)

Gives a kernel panic in 10.5.7 adn I also have a EP45-DS3 (ALC889A)
