I'm just curious, I've just installed 8F1111 and i can't get QE to work, even after reading the loooong thread about this certain issue. I'm thinking maybe i have missunderstood it all and everyone who has QE with this card uses 10.4.1 or 8F1099?

Well, maybe I don't even need QE. But I'm getting more and more attached to the OSX partion and I'm actually hoping of deleting the XP-partion soon. So, getting everything to work seems to be a good plan for the christmas hollidays

10.4.1 works with qe on this card. not sure about 8f1099. sadly no 10.4.3. BTW welcome to the boat u have 855gm

That really saved me alot of sweat, I have been trying all kinds of stuff to get QE working. So, are there any efforts beeing made to make it work in 8F1111 or is everyone using 8F1099 instead?

I wonder why the darwin intel830kext doesnt load now. Maybe we have to do it like we did with 10.4.1 and take the info.plist from the intel915.kext and put it in the intel830.kext and change the device id to match our card.

dont suppose anyone has luck with this on the 10.4.5 final build have they?. I tried to take the 915 files and apply them to an older version of 830 (my install did NOT install any 830 files?!). In any case it didnt work and i ended up with a blue screen, had to restore the Extetions folder to get working again :-(

I ll seriously pay anyone atleast 10$ if they can get my 855 to work in 10.4.5. How bout we start a XP dual booting kinda crap award thing
