Full Version: Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1 anyone?

I've just been successful installing OSx86 10.4.6, really like it, but I can't use my soundcard, which uses a VIA Envy24HT, just like the M-Audio Revolution 7.1 (which seems to be pretty much identical). And guess what... the M-Audio has Mac drivers. I have installed them, but of course it didn't work. Has anyone gotten the Audiotrak to work or is there an universal driver?

I know of no Intel compatible Envy24 drivers for OS X.
Problem is that all the Envy24 cards out there use the PCI bus, which Apple has decided to make obsolete in their new line-up. So if no real Intel Mac can use an Envy24 card, why would nayone make drivers? So sad...
I'm hoping someone might port open source drivers from another platform, as the Envy24 derivatives are widely supported on i.e. Linux.

It's been 2 years, anyone got an ENVY24HT card working yet? sad.gif -- Are there any good quality analog sound cards that work on Mac?

I'm less than satisfied with the quality of my onboard sound card sad.gif
