I've been racking my brain on the Studio 1735, as it appears many have done before me. I started with the iAtkos 7i disc and was able to get a stable installation, minus audio from speakers/bluetooth/full graphics functionality. I went back to 5i because the Dell Post Installer didn't go beyond 10.5.6 and the audio driver on there worked. Also, if you use the ATI 2XXX and 3XXX driver on the install you get video from first boot without the jumbled screen or using -x to boot up. So, again, the IDT driver on the iAtkos 5i works on the Dell Studio 1735 laptop for 10.5.5.... now, I am about to upgrade and am crossing my fingers to not lose what I've been able to get going. unsure.gif

Okay.... updated to 10.5.6 from apple.com. Had to delete AppleHDA kext and HDAEnabler and reuse Dell Post Installer again. Have sound from the speakers still. Will update if still working when I go up to 10.5.7.

NEARLY FULLY FUNCTIONING DELL STUDIO 1735 LAPTOP!!!!

I have bluetooth, airport, sound FROM THE SPEAKERS. I still cannot get full acceleration with the ATI Mobility HD3650, but that's not exactly news. The sound from the speakers is, though. I have the IDT audio chip and the Dell Post installer worked after I did one of the trial packs for the graphics. I dunno why it worked that way, but it did. I can boot normal and use all the usual functions. Again, the video card is the only problem I have going. So VGA/HDMI out are not an option either.

I used the dell post installer 1.4 with every update to 10.5.8 for airport and for IDT sound
I used the Bluetooth Dell 370 kext from Bcc9
I used iAtkos 5i to start and then each update from apple.com up to 10.5.8

The Bluetooth kext is below.
