Full Version: spdif passthrough on ALC1200 Asus P5Q
Hi. I cant get AC3 and DTS passthrough from my sound card to home cinema. I was trying VLC player with spdif option on but it send only pcm sound to my home cinema. Anyone know how to fix it.??

You need to patch AppleHDA binary. See MadTux's guide in Important Topics of Sound.
I think Hex of ALC1200 is 0x10ec0888 and you need to change from 85 08 EC 10 to 88 08 EC 10.
