Okay so I'm having a couple Mac OS X problems, I'm currently running OS X 10.5.7

First major problem that got me to post here is that my sound isn't working in Safe Mode, this might not be a problem at all, but is there a way to fix/activate this?

The reason why I need this working is that, my internet ONLY works in safe mode. In original boot "mode", I get 2 kext errors, one about the USBWirelessUtility, and another about...not sure... xD But Sound works perfectly in Normal Boot, as internet doesn't, darn kext ;D In Safe Mode, it's the complete opposite, Sound doesn't work at all, but internet works perfectly.

Anyone know a way to fix any of these problems?

Edit: I fixed the problem, my sound and internet now both work in Normal boot, I first uninstalled the USBDriverUtility in Safe Mode, as in sent to trash, reinstalled in normal mode, and then ran OSx86Tools, fixing Permissions and extension Permissions and clearing system application cache.

Good to see it fixed. As Safe Mode its a (some of the time depending on extent of the problem) way to boot the system without errors. Its Safe tongue.gif

The way it does this is by only loading basic drivers and such. The way the system knows whether to load the driver or not in Safe Mode is by the OSBundleRequired property in the kext's info.plist. If it is set to Safe Boot it will load even if the system is in Safe Mode. If it is set to Root or Console it will not load up in Safe Mode. If you were to look in your sound card driver you would see that it would not be set to Safe Boot.
