I have finally found a piece of software I want to run as my front on an HTPC. Plex. I love it! Only thing is that it is OS X exclusive (which I would prefer tbh.) My Hardware needs:

HDMI port out
Nice looking case for my entertainment center
Ability to output 1080p easily (hopefully via an hdmi port)

I thought about an AppleTV but it seems it can only output 720p sad.gif

I put together a build on newegg for this: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWi...Number=10307405
(I already have a hdd with a ton of media on it)

I just have a question about how OSX_86 would deal with the onboard HDMI and the rest of the set up. I am running OSX_86 on my desktop, so if its just a few kexts I would have no trouble fixing a couple compatibility issues but the less the better obviously.

Would it work alright? If not could someone suggest a viable option? Or if someone has built an HTPC and put OSX_86 on it and could share that build thatd be really sweet smile.gif

Plex is the same thing as XBMC, which you can find on both Windows and Linux and also as a standalone OS...
