Hello all,

I just started fooling around with OS X on my PC last night.
Everything went very smooth and fine so far.

The Problem (besides a couple of others I'll fix later) that bugs me now is, that
my USB Soundcar ain't working.
I'm using 10.4.6 form JaS.

I get the following Error:

CODE
localhost:/System/Library/Extensions root# kextload -t AppleUSBAudio.kext
kextload: extension AppleUSBAudio.kext appears to be valid
19AppleUSBAudioEngine is not compatible with its superclass, 13IOAudioEngine superclass changed?
kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension AppleUSBAudio.kext
load failed for extension AppleUSBAudio.kext
(run kextload with -t for diagnostic output)

The System Profile shows me the USB Audio...

Which Version which kexts do I need now?

greetings and thanx for help,
dagor

I can send you the required .kext Files from the great Maxxuss 10.4.4 release (we miss you). They works for me, although I don't have a real bass, sadly...

hi,

my terratec usb mkII works fine with soundblaster usb driver
(included in the 10.4.6 Hot-iso install dvd)
on md5400 notebook medion.

Hey, so which kexts did you replace and with which versions? I've got exactly the same issue and I'm trying to figure it out...

Thx
warsteiner007
itīs an Installer package on the dvd, search with finder for SoundBlaster.USB.Audio.Support.pkg and install.

I've given up on this issue long ago and since have moved on with a MacBook Pro... sadly I never got the sound to work right
