Hello there,

Is there currently any soundcard/chip that allows passthrough?
I've got a Asus P5K E Wifi/AP and it got a onboard AD1988B soundchip which seems not to support passthrough with either Taruga's or AzaliaAudio if im correct?

I've also got a TerraTec Auron 5.1 PCI card which has a C-Media 8738 chip and i've tried CMI8738PCIAudioDriver-0.6.4-1048.kext.zip, it works but when i play my movies with DTS sound, my reciever still gets it as stereo.

Now.. I hope i've not missed anything newbielike, im using Perian in Quicktime to decode my x264/mkvs.

update1 C-Media 8738:
AVEATS
Recording is not supported. Volume control works rudimentarily. Both the MIDI and the game port are not supported. Multi-channel (more than 2 channels) audio playback is not supported.
