I've tried a couple of things here, and nothing really seems to work. Here's my motherboard details:
Intel® 975X (Big-Arm) - Viiv™ capable
Northbridge: Intel D975X
Southbridge: Intel ICH7-DH
And here's the audio details for this motherboard:
Intel High Definition Audio subsystem consisting of:
8-channel (7.1) audio subsystem with five analog audio outputs and one S/PDIF optical digital audio output using the Sigmatel® HDAC9271 audio codec
Yet, when I install the STA9271 (or whatever) driver nothing happens. The option for selecting that as the output actually shows up, but no sound whatsoever. It's registering audio, so I know it exists, but nothing out of my speakers (and yes, I selected the output to be from the hd audio or whatever).
The speakers are on, the sound is up, I've tried head phones. Nothing. So anyone else experiencing anything like this? It's quite bothersome as audio is the only reason I installed Leopard really.
