Hi all,

As a newbie in configuring OSX86, I am need help.

H/W Spec: Gigabyte X48-DS4, ALC889A and eVGA 9800GTX+
OSX86: IPC 10.5.6 Final

I am able to configure the video card using the default Nvidia 9800GTX with EFI string.

However, I am not able to get any sound. I am using SPDIF (sounds thru HDMI)

I tried using HDA patch by Tarus, with a ALC889a codec dump I googled. The system profiler indicates there is no built-in audio, but then I am able to goto sound preference and select different output. But still no sound (Internal speaker, headphone, Digital out).

I tried using the Gigabyte P35 Control Centre. System profiler detectedbuilt-in audio: Intedl HD audio, but still no sound (Internal speaker, headphone, Digital out).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks ...
