Hey boyos

So, I've got myself a perfect OS X installation, the ONLY thing that keeps me switching 100% to it is the damn sound card.

I have an asus p5b motherboard, which has AD1988B integrated audio. There are some output drivers, but I absolutely need to be able to use the front panel out, front panel mic, and the standard stereo out, all at the same time.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately none worked sad.gif

Taruga rev 3, rev 4, and the custom one you sent me - neither of them works.

The ONLY thing that gives at least a single stereo output is the AppleAzalia kext.

Please tell me there is a way to get this working properly...

Or if not, at least tell me what is a fully compatible sound card with front panel support under 50 bucks...

Hello,

Iīm sorry about it, and I donīt understand, very often these drivers work. What could be different on your system ? Here is a checklist for you

1. You have really ad 1988b audio codec ?

2. You have removed appleazalia.kext before testing the other kexts ?

2a. Have a look in your extensions folder, maybe the is an old alcinject.kext...it must be deleted

3. Did you delete the mkext in the system/library folder before you restart your system

4. Did you repair userrights after patching ?

5 What kind of OSX distribution do you have installed ? From the IPC distribution I heard something about issues..

I hope this can help you....Much luck !

Bye,

Gary
