Just installed IPC final and all went ok. Just no sound! I have ALC883 i picked this in the install also checked system pref but shows no device.
Any ideas??

I got the same problem but my soundcard is m-audio audiophile 24/96 installed the OS 2 times from scratch the first i didnt checked any sound options and installed manually envy24 no luck ,second install checked the envy24 box same result the device is not even displayed on the preference's panel.
Any help would be great im totally n00b in the mac OS X world.
A Side note to the iPC crew the envy driver are switched on the installer envy24HT is for audiophile 24/192 and not for audiophile 24/96 mentioned in the installer.
