Could any direct me in the correct direction to get 5.1 audio working on this? I'm current using the Azalia kext to get basic output.

0x4383 device
0x1002 vendor

Anyone can help? Did a little digging and it could be ALC888.

I have SB600 m/b with Realtek ALC883 audio. And I haven't find any working solution for AplleHDA for my board
Still using Azalia - only stereo out.

I have the same audio device [SBx00 Azalia (IntelHDA)], but I cannot get the Azalia kext to get any sound at all. Would it be possible for you to point me in the right direction to getting basic sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also have a Moherboard with SB600 controler with Audio device : ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) [1002:4383] with ALC888 S/T (codec address #3 yeah really!)

Using a linux Codec Dump and Taruga patcher I have AppleHDA with 2 analog and 1 digital outputs and 1 mic input
You should try this good old method, better than Azalia Stereo!

I'm working to have 5.1 but it's not done yet
