I just got a a Sony Vaio FW series notebook with the following specs:
Intel® Core 2™ Duo Processor P8600 (2.4GHz)
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3470 with 256MB vRAM
LCD 16.4" (XBRITE-HiColor™)
WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n) with integrated Bluetooth® technology

I have already installed Leopard (Kalyway 10.5.2), and I know that there are not that many video cards that are working under Leopard. Since I'm new to this forum, I am not sure if mine is supported. Also, the ethernet card and wifi are still not working.

Can anyone give me some insights?

Thank you!

See this Topic http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=1 wink.gif Got the same Vaio, Fw11L. Fututure looks a bit grim for drivers for Leopard :\ in according to users that work on that kexts (driver) like MacOff and LastExile, but there are REALLY hard working on this;)

Hi, am waiting for my T400 lenovo to arrive, using the same ATI HD3470 card as well. Really hope that someone can make the card work in Leopard.

Yeah, hopefully it's going to be out soon. But I can still live with the base resolution if I can get the wifi and ethernet to work. let's pray:)

I have a FW21E with Ati 3470 graphics card. I installed 10.5.2 version without any problems. But after the installation, in the welcome screen, I saw the mac apple picture and then screen freezes. I could not make the setup through the voice commands. someone here said to change the resolution but I could not do that as well through the voice commands. Sould I try a newer version, or wait for the proper release with proper drivers?

Or if there is a solution, could someone pls help me to sort it out sad.gif

and i am waiting for this driver

up~

I'm waiting for this driver, too. Is there any simularity between the Trial 2 of HD3650M and the driver for HD3470M? If it's yes I think we are approaching to the goal.

I am also waiting for the ATI HD Mobility Radeon 3470 kext. Also if anyone has any insight on intel 4965 wifi, intel pm965 chipsets, or realtek8102e ethernet that would be amazing.

Up. Some news? Is it possible to install Kalyway on a laptop including a 3470 GPU using a low resolution or you only get a blue screen post the apple logo?

Thx,

upping this. If this is any help, if the 3400 kext is out there, maybe its just a matter of changing deviceID's in the kext or something. im not a programmer but if someone can point me in the right direction il be happy to give it a go.
