I'm about to buy a firewire solo external sound card and I was wondering if anyone got it to work 100% correctly.

but I was mainly wondering if the "firewire solo" sound card from m-audio works under osx86.

If you check my signature below, you'll see that I'm using a Phonic Helix Firewire mixer which gives me 16 inputs
and a stereo output into Digital Performer 6.1 and it works perfect. The only thing I had to change was the AppleFWAudio.kext from 2.2 to 1.2.2 Version 2.2 didn't work for me....So experiment with different versions of AppleFWAudio.kext.
