I have an Asus A8R32-MVP mobo, with an onboard Realtek ALC882 soundcard. I've installed Leo4Allv3 10.5.2 Leopard, and the default kexts for sound did nothing, and I've been searching for a week for a way to get this bloody sound working....
I've tried Azalia, anything I can find that has to do with Realtek 882, releases from Taruga, different methods on these forums, and the closest I can get is my computer identifying the card as 0x1043817f...which is incorrect. Now in Ubuntu, it identifies it as as Realtek ALC882, but OSX will not identify it correctly!! I've tried using codec dumps people have put on Taruga's site, and applied them to the autopatcher, but it still does nothing. I can't even find out how to do my own codec dump....usually I'm pro at finding this info out through research, and rarely get stumped like this..... Any help would be appreciated, or least a nudge in the right direction....
