This is just a success story I felt needed to be posted.
So, around February of last year, the onboard sound card stopped working for whatever reason.
It would be detected on XP, but no sound aside from crackling in the background.
This carried over to an earlier release of OSx86 I tried installing last summer.
Today, I decided to install the Kalway 10.5.2 release, upgraded to 10.5.3 and then the official 10.5.4.
I was initially waiting for the Creative Audigy PCI drivers to come out (as they had as of yesterday or the day before) as I bought one to have a fully functional XP rig.
Alas, the drivers did not work on my SE version of the card.
On a whim, I decided to plug my speakers into my onboard card and viola!!!
No static, no nothing.
Everything else is working perfectly (with the exception of not being able to shutdown properly).
I just thought you all might want to know about this particular success story.
