I dumped the code myself on Ubuntu live CD. It works great with AppleHDA Patcher v1.20.

It enables both input and output. Here are the pictures.

I was highly considering the GIGABYTE GA-EG31M-S2

Anyways this is almost exactly the same board as yours except it has 2 memory slots rather than 4 and lacks firewire. All chipsets for the various devices appear to be the same.

I just wanted to be clear that Audio did not work for you with the initial install. But using AppleHDA Patcher v1.20 you got audio working correctly?

All I care about is 2 channel stereo output for iTunes and videos.

Yes. I think the code I dumped should be working on your motherboard. Here is my way of the leopard installation.

If you only want 2 channel stereo output, there exists a much easier way. Just download AzaliaAudio.pkg and double click on it. I assure you that you will hear sound after reboot.

AzaliaAudio.pkg can be downloaded here:

I followed the direction but I was wondering what version of Chameleon boot loader you were using? I installed 1.0.11 but I though I read in a post of yours elsewhere that you were using 1.0.10. If you are using 1.0.10 can you post a link so I can download it, I can only find the latest on Chameleons site

Anyways everything seems to be working fine except that darned bootloader. I can boot into Leopard with all updates installed using the Chameleon boot iso to select the hard drive. But it does not work booting directly off the bootloader installed on the HD.

Oh and if I try EFI v8 I do not get past the BIOS.

For the Azalia Audio what are your ven and dev id's. I loaded the linked Azalia Audio but the audio did not show in system preferences. When I used OSx86 tools it showed an Intel ven id which does not sound right since my board is supposed to use ALC888.

So far I have had less trouble with this rig than with my SSE2 only Athlon 64 with nForce 3 Northbridge and Radeon X800XT (basically all not recommended). It is also less troublesome than my Pentium IV 1.7Ghz SSE2 only with the 845i chipset.

One other question. Will your computer go to sleep? That has been one of my hopes for OSx86 though from other forum topics I would say it is wishful thinking.
