Trying to start up SL. What does this error mean ?

Thx,

What do you mean exactly?

SL if i assume means Second Life?

I think that the GL Context Error just means that it can not load the openGL Drivers for your video card. And that you may need to have QE enabled with opengl (GL) support enabled.

Now that is my guess. Cause I tried to play that game as well and I got the same error. And have been trying for the past 2 days to get QE/CI working on my computer, since it isn't enabled along with opengl.

Hope that helps

Thanks ! I have QuartzGL enabled through OSXTools, but I expect it's my ATI1950 pro card. I have read on this forum that many problems exist with the hardwre acceleration on this card.

I'll pick up an 3850 or 3870 after work as people seem to have a lot more success with those. Although I have NO idea whatsoever on how to replace a videocard in a Hack without doing a complete reinstall. But I guess I'll soon find out eh !

I had been able to run SL 1.20.17 the other day but today I can't. When I start the program, it immediately gives me the "Can't make GL context" error and crashes.

I have a late-model Mac Mini (Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel integrated graphics). Any suggestions?
