I'm running MacOSX 10.5.2, plan to upgrade to 10.5.3 soon.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S7413 laptop.

I tried looking in Vista's device manager, but it simply lists my sound hardware as "Realtek High Definition Audio", it gives no model name, number, or anything of the sort.

How would I identify more accurately what sound hardware I have? And if anybody is familiar with this laptop, are there any drivers to get it working in MACOSX 10.5.2 and above?

I had the same problem with my toshiba qosmio. the solution was a hardware tool on hirenīs boot cd (canīt remember which one - but you will find it). it showed straight away the alc888 codec. before i was messing around with other alcīs. now it works perfect biggrin.gif

I found an information APP in my audio settings, sound codec seems to be ALC268.

Are there any drivers/codecs for this for MACOSX?
