Greetings-

I have an Intel D945GNT motherboard, which according to the wikipedia, needs to be patched with the 9200.pkg (IIRC)

Fair enough, I'm no stranger to working in an around system files, but unsure where to get said file, and what to do with it afterwards...help please?

Trying getting a Knoppix or an Ubuntu and then check the codec file for your card there ...you will find some interesting things there....when I did I am getting new names in the output section of sound but still having nothing via speakers/headphone and it shows my sound card as 9221 instead of 9200(as told by XP) for my 945GNT

I used to have that motherboard and it didn't work with Taruga's patcher, so good luck if you can make it to work on Leopard.

The different D945GNT boards use different sigmatel drivers.

In retrospect it seems obvious, but I spent more than a few hours trying to get my sound working in 10.5.2. If, like myself, you have a D945GNTLKR board, it works with AppleHDA Patcher with a Sigmatel 9223 dump, if you don't or can't make one yourself.

You can get the 9223 dump @ http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/sig...23CodecDump.txt
(the root of that website has many other AppleHDA dumps, as well)
