So I'm sick of trying to get my AC'97 on board working and I have an extra PCI slot available. What is the most ideal sound card to buy that will work natively?

Rather than make another thread, could I request one for around $30? (a little more I could do if I had to, but I am only getting one because my onboard doesn't work...thanks

I donīt think thereīs many lowbudget pci soundcards around for a intelmac or a hack running on intel cpu. The best you can do is get a Pci -> FW card and a FW soundcard, some ok cheap ones around of both. Remember to get a Pci -> FW with Texas instrument chipset itīs a must or else youīll get problems.

they work! 100%. no driver/kext needed. plug & play. now my snow leopard build works 100% - no missing features.
