Yes disabling the auto mode in bios on this board puts it into IDE mode.
So it disables SATA 1 & 4 leaving you with 2 IDE & 2 Sata (0 & 2)
Without doing that the board will kp.
I have tested 2 diff bios for this. I am currently at the highest bios available.
I tested the bios from feb 08 1st.
I didn't notice that the second sata gets recognized. I'll switch my dvd-rw drive to that port.
I forgot to say, that the solution to the long shutdown delay was the usb fix on chameleon 2!
So I put:
CODE
<key>USBBusFix</key>
<string>Yes</string>
On com.apple.boot.plist and now it reboots/shutdowns inmediately, and also the usb drives work, obviously

UPDATE: It's weird, very weird, I just switched my dvd-rw drive to the SATA2 port, now it gets recognized, but the weird thing is...now I feel my system much more fast and responsive! I don't understand

at least is a good thing

(and that's while having installed SL on an old 80GB IDE drive, when I'll have it installed on the faster 500GB SATA2 drive, it will fly!!

)
