  1. Is your "Allow apps downloaded from:" setting in the Security and Privacy pref pane set to "Anywhere" ??
  2. I had a similar problem with a laptop and this is what I did ... Use Chameleon to determine if your monitor Vesa resolution list includes 1366x768. (Step 1 from this link http://www.macbreaker.com/2012/06/how-to-set-your-hackintosh-bootscreen.html is how to do that if you already don't know what I mean) What I found out was that although the highest resolution for my laptop card is 1366x768 AFTER boot, the highest Vesa res was only 1280x720 ... So I set <key>ScreenResolution</key> to <string>1280x720</string> in config.plist and everything looks okay now without any stretching visible. I did not even have to patch the vbios. Just an idea to try.
  3. Hi firefanor, try the attached dsdt ... I just managed to get my Asus working yesterday and took a quick look at your dsdt. Doesn't seem like too many edits are needed to get battery working BUT since I do NOT have a Lenovo g570 I can't confirm if the edits will work or not ... dsdt.aml.zip
  4. I was able to download it using software update ... Approximately 120mb in size ...
  5. Yep. Noticed this too .. Brightness increase stops halfway through and then refuses to decrease with the hotkeys ...
  6. People are not understanding what you are trying to achieve ... BUT ... I have a good reason to believe that in Mountain Lion, ONLY percentage values are displayed next to the battery icon in the menu bar ... SO, what you want to do IS NOT possible in Mountain Lion even with REAL Macs ...
  7. You can either delete AppleHDA kext from your Extensions folder or use a disabler kext ... eg. Disabler Kext That seems to help out ...
  8. I also get something similar on 10.8.2 b12C53 ... kernel[0]: NVDA(OpenGL): Channel exception! exception type = 0x8 = Fifo: Watchdog Timeout Error kernel[0]: IOVendorGLContext::ReportGPURestart kernel[0]: 0000006e kernel[0]: 00000010 0000502d 00000472 00000000 kernel[0]: 0000047a 0000022c 00000001 0000000f kernel[0]: 00000000 00000000 00000000 kernel[0]: 00000000 00000000 WindowServer[99]: Display 0x41860f00 released by conn 0x147d3 kernel[0]: NVDA(OpenGL): Channel timeout! Was not getting it before with 10.8.1 release ...
  9. /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras for eg. Volume PDFs are here: /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/Volume.menu/Contents/Resources Note: They are NOT icons ! :wink2:
  10. Looks like someone patched the ML kernel already with the Lapic Fix ... Here Now THAT is quick work ... :wink2:
  11. I have a feeling FakeSMC is already in there somewhere ... :wink2:
  12. Yeah, I sometimes get this, usually after I just restored an image backup ... But the list usually reverts back to normal after a reboot ... You can try these Terminal commands to reset the list (If you are comfortable with Terminal commands ...) cd /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/ and then type: ./lsregister -kill -domain local -domain system -domain user
