  1. This great old motherboard is faster than ever, running El Capitan. Thank you to all the developers who have made OSX86 so very much easier over the years.
  2. . . . this resource, and some googling for prices, may answer your question: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.8.0
  3. Resources here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/forum/185-asus/ (recent versions of OSX difficult/impossible to install on Atom-based systems)
  4. If the above helpful post doesn't meet your 'need' you might read this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275941-very-important-please-read-about-tonymacx86-and-iatkos-m/
  5. (if using Clover, which I'd recommend) . . . . add to boot arguments nv_disable=1 . . . . . this will tell you if the issue is with the inbuilt Nvidia driver: if it is you can install the web driver, removing above argument and adding nvda_drv=1
  6. Start by *not* using unsupported (here) "tonymacx86" installers
  7. . . . k/b works fine at Clover boot selection, and green light on k/b appears at power-on of PC.
  8. . . . no BT4/LE USB dongle has Apple firmware (required); certain versions of the DLink DBT120 (BT 1.x) dongle could be flashed to Apple firmware from a PowerPC mac - from firsthand experience I can tell you these no longer work properly in Mavericks/Yosemite. Outta-the-box up-to-date solution (cannot test function for BIOS entry since the Apple BT k/b lacks a 'delete' key) for (any) PCI-e slot - http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.0.0.M8souu&id=38195333521
  9. . . . Hi; max OSX supported on the 1181 is 'Lion' 10.7.x (what you already have) . . . http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5444 The hassle with these old macbooks is the GPU, they are likely to be 32bit EFI as well. Suggest you fit more RAM, an SSD (ideally an Angelbird one with TRIM support), and enjoy running Lion.
  10. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294954-guide-iatkos-s3-v2-snow-leopard-1068-on-acer-aspire-one-d150/ . . . you will need to check the detailed differences between your D250 and a D150 - if this guide does not work, post in that thread with an exact description of where things went wrong.
  11. Plural step-by-step guides may be too much to hope for; but there is an Insanelymac Acer netbook forum http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/forum/231-acer/
  12. Suggest you reinstall Clover, remembering to select: OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi
