After trying those kexts, my front panel USB is finally working with my external USB HDD drive that never worked before as long as I didn't boot with it already plugged.
Maybe it's the same for you, so try if you have USB bugs. Enjoy. EDIT : It seems i messed up the previous archive, and iPhone / iPods wouldn't be recognized anymore in Itunes. Here is a new archive with fixed kexts : http://rapidshare.com/files/103614041/usb1053.zip.html |

Thanks. Will try.
I don't really have problems with USB, but I use modified AppleUSBEHCI for proper sleep on my Lappy. |

Cool, I'm going to try these out when I get a chance...I have strange USB mass storage problems. My card reader in my Dell 2407wfp only works occasionally, and when it does it locks up the MassStorage process. Plugging my Nikon D40 in directly via USB usually works, but not always without clearing some extension caches. I'll report back once I've tried them.

The drivers load without issue but they still don't fix the USB problems with my ACER notebook.

USB Driver form 10.5.3 Beta is works without probs.
No wakeup from USB Mouse or Keyboard like 10.5.2 driver. (Hoped so, since wakeup from USB Mouse under 10.4.10 was no prob) |

Will this fix the issue of USB devices only showing up if plugged in pre-boot? I currently have no PnP with USB devices. I have to have them connected before boot.

I installed theese kexts and it still does not shows my usb drives in finder. Ioregexplorer says it's there but it does not show up in finder, also fusion/parallels work fine with them. The drives show up if i boot with them...
Tried iousbfamily from 10.4.10 but without any luck. Tried the fix from the kallyway 10.5.2 dvd and still no luck. EDIT the problem was the kernel, i was using 9.2.0 should have used 9.2.2 mobin/kabyl |

I've installed all off the kexts you provided and it was finally the soultion of my USB hotplug problem. I have 9.2.2 Kernel and Leo 10.5.2. When I was plugging any USB device into a USB port the whole machine freezed. Now it' working flawlessly! Thanks! |

hi all,
after some attempt to download, i got thu... now i have another (would say BIG) problem....i downloaded the files, extracted and pasted the kexts into /system/library/extensions; leo asked me to overwrite since those file were already in there. i overwrote, rebooted and now leo does not boot anymore, it stucks into a gray screen with the apple logo. i tried to boot -x or -v or -f but nothing changed,,i just can read "can't alloc...." and then "still waiting for root device". how can i restore the old kext ???is there anyway to get these 10.5.3 files working?? please help!! thanks daniele |

I havent tried this method but my USB problems were also related to 9.2.0 kernel (from netkas) and 9.2.2 system.kexts. I needed to have proper shutdown/restart/sleep. so i fixed with this approach that I had posted here
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=95789 may be it can help some of you. |
