HELP with sigmatel 9220 on Intel d945psn MB

I 've installed kalyway 10.5.1 and updated it to 10.5.2 using combo update.

I have an INTEL D945PSN MB with sigmatel 9220 chip for audio. I tried to patch using Taruga's AppleHDA patcher with no success.

Of note, On system profiler, under audio, it says 'no built in audio'.

I'm at a loss in terms of even where to start. Please help.
