I have a MSI MS-7250 motherboard and i have a trouble with ACPi function. Can you patch my bios-file to resolve this problem ???

Hello to all of you.
Yeah, i got the same problem as all of you do. I had the "Using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster" problem, solved it and now i'm stuck with cpus=1 -f, if I don't add cpus=1, the computer restarts and if i don't add -f i get a kernel panic.

I have:
Intel q6600 processor (4 cores @ 2.4 GHz)
Foxconn P35AX-S
GeForce 8800GT 512mb
RAM 4 Gbyte

Here is my bios file. I really would appreciate it, if it would be possible for yout o fix it.

Sir, i used you P5Q bios but still can't get all my cores working. my specs: Core2Quad Q9400, Asus P5Q, GeForce 8800GT, 4GB DDR2 800(Geil). All Drives are sata.
any ideas?

i have a spartan laptop (MSI Made)
MS-1719 (SMS172up)
Intel Core 2 Duo t7500
Intel PM965 Chipset
Geforce 8600 GT Go 512MB

the issues i have are the hang at buffers message
and i cannot get both cores working (have to use cpus=1)
if i do not use that it reboots at the grey apple screen
also i have to remove the appleSMC.kext after installing os 10.5.2 or i will kernel panic. also i have to use the sse2 patch on the kalyway disc or i get the hang at buffers message.
can you make a modded bios please

hello i just wanted to add that i went to osxcores.site50.net found the modded bios for my gx700 laptop and flashed.. fingers crossed!!!!!! it works both cores now work with OSX 10.5.2 and it is much faster. thanks all for the info.
i had to make a bootable usb flash drive to boot to dos to flash. since i do not have a floppy handy. thanks again everyone for your help

I tried your modded bios for this motherboard. Just wanted to let you know that i get a BSOD in windows with your bios. Never could install osx with it either unless i install the Acpi FIX, which limits me to 1 core per cpu. Since then a new Bios has been released, 401. I can install OSX just fine, but upon boot is where i get the panic.

Vista requires ACPI APIC support , and also ACPI Support 2.0
OSX can't boot with ACPI APIC support , but ACPI 2.0 Support works fine(still limited to 1 core.)

With the information i gave you. Do you think you can mod the new bios so i can give another shot at it?

i cant get a direct link to the bios from asus, but its on the support.asus.com , ASUS z7s ws Bios Rev 401

I loaded the Rom for my Bios from Osxcores.site50.net, but it didn´t work for me.
After flashing the Rom my bios hangs on Start up screen and I can do nothing. Could you please try to make a working Bios for me. I really would appreciate this.

My Specs are:

Board: Foxconn P35AX-S (Intel ICH9 Chipset)
Geforce GT8800 512mb
Intel Core2Quad q6600 at 2.4 Ghz
4 Gbyte of RAM

Is there a modded BIOS yet for the Asus X51L notebook? If not I would be very happy if someone could make one cos I get stuck on the "Using 10485 buffer headers...." error
Ive tried the iDeneb 1.3 / 10.5.5 installer works fine until reboot and the the error

Tried the bios on http://www.osxcores.site50.net/ for the x51L, Windows boots normally but the osx install gives the same error again
Tried cpus=1 and it makes no difference
Tried different kernels in the ideneb installer, StageXNU kernel panics after install, the others give the buffer header error

Kalyway installer dvd wont even boot properly until it panics, tried different kernels on it too.
Seems like the Asus X51L notebook doesnt like osx

Hi, my name is Miguel and I just installed 10.5.5 and got everything working except my dual Core amd opteron 175 gets only one core detected.

My motherboard is asus a8n32-sli deluxe with 4gb ram.
AMD Opteron 175 (Dual core), only 1 core detected.
Asus 7600gt correctly detected with CI/QE accelerated.
OSX on a 120gb ATA Drive
Vista on a 250Gb SATA Drive.
Currently 9.5.0 voodoo kernel installed.


Would a fixed bios help detect the second core?? Would windows vista continue working without problems??

Hi kabyl, Could you please make a modified bios for my MSI PR200 laptop ?
You can find mode tech details about laptop here. I have core 2 duo t7500 @ 2.2 ghz cpu.

There are two different bios on the web site for WinXP and Vista. I donot really know what is the different but URL’s are below. I hope you could help the install leopard on my laptop.

problem is about ACPI. I tried to boot with every kind of install cd from originals to kalyway,iatkos etc but none of them even show me gray apple screen it always reboots just before gray apple screen.

I can boot and install with cpus=1 parameter using iatkos 4.1i with ahci enabled. I hope you can make a fix to use both cores.

*** Edit : removed Vista bios because I could not even boot with Vista version of bios.
