1) You will need Ciarán's SIMBL hack, Grab here: http://www.culater.net/software/SIMBL/SIMBL.php

2) Now get the blurminal here: http://ciaranwal.sh/files/Blurminal.bundle.zip

3) Install the SIMBL

4) Move the 'Blurminal.bundle' to /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins

5) Open terminal and type: defaults write com.apple.Terminal 'Blurminal Radius' -float 1.0

6) Restart your terminal and you have done with it.

Note: I didn't test with 10.4 and probably this will not work under Tiger.

I don't know if it will work in Tiger, however, it does work with the Terminal.app from Tiger, as long as you edit the Info.plist file so it doesn't give you an error and prevent loading of the plugin.

I also use the Visor plugin, however, not with the Terminal.app from Leopard... rather, I copied the Terminal.app from Tiger, named it vTerminal.app and then edited the Info.plist file to change the bundle identifier so it wouldn't conflict with the Leopard terminal. I also changed the vTerminal.app plist file to hide the UI elements (dock icon and menu bar) once I had things configured.

I just added Blurminal to the SIMBL plugin directory after editing it's Info.plist file to look for the modified bundle modifier for vTerminal.app and also modified Blurminal's Info.plist to look for the changed bundle and lowered the Min Version to 1 which prevents an error when it loads on the old terminal.

Hmm, perhaps I should make a guide as now that I am typing this out it does seem a bit complicated! :(

However, I simply adore the fact that I am always a single hotkey away from having a terminal at my fingertips! :D
