how do you get a log AFTER your computer gives a KP? Just reopen Console after rebooting, and click on system.log Everything should still be there. That is how I did it, anyways. Note: my KPs occurred after I had already booted into the OS. Edit: sorry I misread. There is no way that I know of to log anything AFTER a kernel panic. But I assume that you can get some good hints about the problem by looking at what was logged right before the panic. So I post the log I had up until the KP. |

Good evening guys... Just as an effort. I'd like to state my most sincere compliments to everyone whose been constantly putting their efforts to make this wi fi driver (4965AGN) become a true reality.
I wish I had some sort of skills to help in those technical aplicabilities, instead of just sit and cheer to the winners working so hard. Again! Congratulations! I'll keep on believing it will happen... |

Sorry to pester, but would someone with the ability mind building the 10.5 iwi2200.dmg from the latest svn as Jalavoui has requested? I among others have been eagerly waiting to test, as the current svn latest DMG isn't working and I have no internet access on the machine currently to proceed. Thx much..

I among others have been eagerly waiting to test, as the current svn latest DMG isn't working and I have no internet access on the machine currently to proceed. Thx much.. the most recent modification uploaded to the SVN on iwi2200.cpp was on April 17th. I don't have a 2200 to test, but the installation package in the disk image file on the SVN appears to be up to date. Also how do I figure out exactly which wireless card I have? Plop open the proper panel on your laptop and take a look at the label on the card? (I have no idea what laptop make you have, so it's hard to actually give "universal" directions for this) |

@Cameron
boot with ubuntu or any other live cd. you'll be able to see the card name... or if you have windows installed, just check it out on "device manager" |

Can anyone teach me how to revive my mac without reinstalling it again? Thanks! I don't have that card or drivers, but try this. Restart your computer, and at the boot screen type: -x -v -s Hit Enter. Once it gets done loading to a command prompt, type: mount -uw / rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/iwi2100.kext Hit enter. It worked if you didn't get any errors. next, type 'reboot', minus the quotes, and hopefully your system comes back up. Good luck |

You need sudo command in teminal.
sudo root(enter) type your root password( enter) Then you can remove that kext. By the way you should remove extensions.mkext also. It would let you boot up without any error. Hope you get your hac back! |
