Iwi 753 from mlazy.
Sorry, everytime i try to use the logs command, got empty logs... This one is from console, loading the kext manually, very stable for me (Sony vaio too), just freeze on reboot or using scan selector.

Alright I'm home, Jalavoui got a question for ya. When i compiled the new source in xcode for 2200 like does it create a .dmg file or do i have to create that? I see where it creates the .kext file so i know its working and it doesn't give me those permission errors anymore (thanks) so yeah let me know. Going to test it out see if its better.
Thanks |

The line in the log you mentioned jalavoui is there and the cable is plugged ... no idea what is going on Apr 18 01:14:59 right-eyes-mac-pro mDNSResponder[22]: ERROR: mDNSPlatformTCPConnect - connect failed: socket 19: Error 64 Host is down ok- better just unplug the cable in this logs i can't check inital driver startup have you tryed to call network selector scan option? FurmanSK, delete the old .dmg and xcode will create a new one for you if it works post iwi2200.dmg here olvko, do you get a panic booting in normal mode? try -v or a few reboots pere, your logs are interesting - can you make the driver run with less bugs? iwi3945 i'll need more logs - inital drive log lines are very important and i can't see them from previous logs we'll continue tomorrow thanks ok last one to test iwi3945 rel 755 code in svn tree |

Jala,
problems with 755; build error: IOSLeep was not declared in this scope. Kextload states: can't add kernel extension iwi3945.kext (validation error) (run kextload on this kext with -t for diagnostic output) kernel extension iwi3945.kext has problems: Validation failures: { "Kext claims an executable file but it doesn't exist" = true } |

Just for informations sake, I downloaded the 3945 .dmg and opened up and it had the package for installation. I didn't install it, but It did open and have the files in it. This was revision 748 (I believe). I'm running OS X 10.5.2.

Oh one more thing Jalavoui, this is with old 2200 not your updated ones, when i would select a different mode i think mode 2 (adhoc) it would freeze as soon as i'd turn it back on. Dont know if ya fixed it but might wanna take a look at it. I'll post some logs as soon as i get the new one compiled.

QUOTE Followed most of the steps and solutions people have been posting for rev748 Still some problems: networkselector still shows CODE Could not get ID for kernel control. 2 logout whenever I run it, including when i delete Networkinterfaces.plist, en0, en2, etc. When I try to kextload through the terminal: sudo kextload /system/library/extensions/iwi3945.kext I get: CODE kextload: cannot resolve dependencies for kernel extensions /system/library/extensions/iwi3945.kext error loading extensions /system/library/extensions/iwi3945.kext I've also tried this after loading the kext with Kext Helper b7 This is a fresh install of Kalyway 10.5.2 on a Toshiba Satellite Can someone help me out with this? Hard to test I can't load the kext in the first place |

Alright jalavoui i just left the old .dmg file in there and built it and it worked but idk if it updated anything so i tried to manually load the kext files but i dont know where they all go. And when i did this it didn't load the file. I got some logs and stuff but i think its from when it loaded.
Did i load it wrong? Cause now its not wanting to load at all. Ah pisses me off dam apple. lol |

you should all thank mlazy for making a working version of iwi3945
FurmanSK, if you build iwi2200.dmg right and it doesn't install what's the error? iwi3945 rel 756 station scan - leave networkselelctor alone is there any way to test this in -s or -v and make os x to auto load it? this will help cause it will allow to see the panic log |

When the 3965 drivers will work and will be stable, the 4965 (which is very similar to the 3965) should be released a little after |

iwi3945.dmg build
check if you get this this is the new script unzip it in iwi3945 main folder open the terminal -> cd to iwi3945 folder (check my console_log) sudo sh dmg.sh to call it if the dmg build ok open it right click on iwi3945.pkg to see the contents you should get a picture like this one to instal the driver: double click on iwi3945.pkg - this will call the installer the iwi3945.dmg is about 592K it just like to say that you don't need this if: you delete iwi3945.dmg and press build in xcode it should do the same as in this script maybe the problem is somewhere else (check iwi3945.pmproj - might need to be saved to work in mac os x 10.5 format) anyway - try this script and copy paste what you get in console well - i'm doing this in a genuine macintosh computer
