ALC660 on my Asus G1 lappy

Tried the dumps up on http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/

After reboot I still don't have any audio devices. So none of them work with me at least...

ALC880: from ECS 954P-A mobo....doesn't work when patched with this (working) dump from linux.

Codec: Realtek ALC880
Address: 0
Vendor Id: 0x10ec0880
Subsystem Id: 0x8800000
Revision Id: 0x100800

Any idea on how to get it to work?

Azalia 2ch doesn't even show up as working...the kext loads but no devices are present. I am getting fed up with this. Oh well...

Thanks,
sdelano

Hi Peoples,
I have an alc260 codec in an NEC p7200 laptop

applehdapatcher 1.20

AppleHDA Patcher - 2006/2007 by Taruga v1.20

* Patching AppleHDA.kext to 0x10ec0260 Done
* Checking AppleHDA for patch Done
0001f4a0 cmpl $0x10ec0885,%eax
0001f4a7 cmpl $0x10ec0260,%eax
00020584 cmpl $0x10ec0885,%eax
0002058b cmpl $0x10ec0260,%eax
* Checking for SPDIF Out Detected
* Checking for SPDIF In Not Detected
* Using the following nodes in pathmap

Speaker : 15 8 2
Spdif Out: 24 3

* Copying new config to destination Done
* Repairing Permissions Done
* Deleting Extensions Cache Done

** Done patching - You can reboot now **

on reboot volume is there
line out
digital audio

there is a very very faint sound out of the headphone socket(which is also the SPDIF Out )
I would assume that the digital works as with azalia I get the same out of the headphones but the light isn't on, whereas the light is on with hda..
if i could only get the internal speakers to work , Wow...

Please find the attatched working codec dump from ubantu

cheers,
Paul (kadmiff)

Hi Peoples,
I have an alc260 codec in an NEC p7200 laptop

applehdapatcher 1.20

AppleHDA Patcher - 2006/2007 by Taruga v1.20

0001f4a7 cmpl $0x10ec0260,%eax
00020584 cmpl $0x10ec0885,%eax
0002058b cmpl $0x10ec0260,%eax
* Checking for SPDIF Out Detected
* Checking for SPDIF In Not Detected
* Using the following nodes in pathmap

Speaker : 15 8 2
Spdif Out: 24 3

* Copying new config to destination Done
* Repairing Permissions Done
* Deleting Extensions Cache Done

No Sound workaround

I happen to have a plantronics usb headset- I plugged it in and instant audio!

I have a asrock alc660 realtek audio chipsett.

I also don't want to mess with kexts and dumps since there is not clear place to find info on EXACTLY how do do anything (because everyone has a slightly different config).

I will just get a Behringer FCA202 Firewire Audio Interface to solve my sound issues and start editing in FCP studio pro on my $210 anti-mac pro 3.1!!!!!!!

x-bench is 108 which is fine by me with a Celeron dual core 1.66

Lenovo N200 ALC862 (aka ALC ALC861-VD/862-VD, but only according to ALSA!) working with MadTux's most recent modded kext. No volume control (although mute works), but Mic-In working, along with Int. Speakers and Headphone jack.

Same as azurael. Same laptop n200. I use madtux driver also.
Would love to get volume control at some point.

Does anyone else with ALC862 notice it sounds tiney & skips out sometimes?
