Airport Extreme, BT is Bluetooth
Oh, and who wants sthe 3,1 EFI Firmware? http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/fir...rationcd15.html 2,1 Firmware is also available with V 1.4, I'll have to see if I can screw up upgrading my firmware so it'll allow me to use the upgrade CD... Or better yet, anyone here have any idea how to upload the firmware, do a forced flash or whatever? It looks like if we screw it up, we can restore it with these CD's.... |

Yes, they are for the AP and BT modules.
They most likely will not come with heatsinks, buy the ones listed earlier in this thread (can't remember which model) But you'll need to make the temp sensors out of the transistors (simple) unless you buy apple heatsinks. Don't buy the 5150's! You're just throwing your money away! If you wanted a low powered mac, you could do what I did and get a MP 2.66GHz quad core for $1600 with 2GB ram and 250GB HDD. If you're going to make one, make an 8-core! Get these CPUs: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pair-Intel-Xeon-E5345-...1QQcmdZViewItem That or heck, I've got a pair of 2.66GHz 8-core's that I'd part with for a good price... And finally, a power processor module is most likely a part needed in systems like blade servers and such, Mac's don't use those.... :-D |

Or ebay, there's a ton available on there: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pair-Intel-Xeon-E5345-...1QQcmdZViewItem He's got more than that as well.... Where from Listed? I was looking at Dual Cores to make a Quad Core machine and the price came close to £450, around $900 (US)

I usually have no luck with my searches lol I think a Hackintosh might work out cheaper until I can get some more money.. hmm.. |

I've got a prototype board with memory crad risers, 1GB of Ram, Power supply and all the cables to hook to power supply up, as well as the hard drive power and data cables and the cd drive power and data cables I'd let go for a good price, Cause GBP are huge compared to USD$$$! I can even throw in some home made (thanks nagal!) thermal sensors and some 2U size heatsinks (Work fine, but the fans are LOUD cuase they need a ton of airflow)....
